Moving Slowly

I am starting to get frustrated. I have not completed any of my goals yet. Even the ones that I thought would be done soon are no where near being completed. I feel like I haven't gotten anywhere in this challenge. I'm at a bit of a stand still it seems.

I thought I would have had my sewing machine up and running by now. It is sitting, instead, in the storage room, because I have no where convenient to put it. That is why I need a craft room (another goal on my list). However, I don't see myself getting a craft room any time in the near future. I could probably haul the sewing machine out to the kitchen table and work with it there, but it is too heavy for me to be lugging around at this stage in my pregnancy. Besides, we have enough things cluttering up the kitchen table and I don't need a bunch of sewing things adding to the mess. I guess this will just have to wait a little while longer.

Another thing I have been slacking on is learning to use my camera. I've still been experimenting and fiddling around with it a lot. I have learnt quite a bit just from that, but I think I am getting to the point now where I need to actually do some reading and maybe even take a course or something. I've hit a bit of a wall. There are a few functions that I am still unsure of how to work. Yet, as easy as it would be to open up my books and read, I keep putting it off. Maybe my mini-goal for this long weekend should be to actually do some research and work on my photography.

In better news, I have made some progress in the plans to open my own Etsy shop and sell the things I have made. I'm feeling a lot more confident in my skills and I have even started designing my own hats, and one specific, signature hat. I think I might be able to get something going sooner than I had thought. I don't feel quite ready for an Etsy shop, but I think I might try to get something local set up through a Facebook page and see how that goes. Also, Mum has offered to take some of what I make back home with her and she will try to sell it there. Apparently there is a store down there that sells all handmade gifts and what not, and she might be able to get my creations sold there. Not holding my breath on it, but how cool would that be to have my stuff sold in an actual store front? I still have some work to do. Before I do anything, I want to build up some stock. I also have to figure out how much I am actually going to charge for this stuff. But things are looking good and plans are progressing.

So, at least I have one thing that seems to be moving along. And the rest will follow once things get rolling.
